Tunisia attack: British man used his body as a human shield to protect his fiancee

A British father, 30 year old Mathew James used his body as a human shield to protect his fiancée and mother of their two children, Seera Wilson when one of the attackers of the Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba, a 5-star beach front hotel in Sousse town in Tunisia opened fire outside the Mediterranean resorts Friday

"He told me, 'I love you babe. But just go, tell our children that their daddy loves them," his fiancee told BBC News.

The 26 year old mother of two said she had no other choice but to leave him there, not knowing if he'd live or if he'd die. "He was covered in blood from the shots, but he just told me to run away. It was the bravest thing I've ever known. But I just had to leave him under the sunbed because the shooting just kept on coming."she said

She ran to their nearby hotel room, all the while passing a body floating in the resort's swimming pool. Once inside her room she hid inside a cupboard and waited until everywhere was calm again.

By the time the massacre ended at least 37 people would be confirmed dead - including the gunman - and another 36 injured.

To her surprise, her Fiance survived after being shot on the chest, in the shoulder and hip. He suffered a heart attack and a shattered pelvis. He is currently in the Intensive care unit of a Tunisian hospital where he is receiving medical attention.

There were 3 terrorist attacks today. One in France, one in Tunisia and another in Kuwait. A suicide bomber attacked and killed at least 27 people at a Shiite mosque in Kuwait City today. Olabisi Onabanjo Uni students crushed to death after container falls on commercial bus in Ogun

At least 10 students of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ogun state lost their lives after a container on a truck fell on the commuter bus they were traveling in, crushing all the passengers and the bus driver to death. This happened along the Sagamu/Benin expressway at Ilishan, very close to Sagamu junction at about 12noon today June 26th. The students were on their way to Lagos when the accident happened.

An eyewitness said the driver of the truck drove against traffic which caused the head on collision with the commuter bus

"I was coming from Sagamu side and saw the accident. I had to hurriedly park my car, run to the scene to see if the passengers could be rescued but unfortunately all the occupants were dead including the driver. The bus was facing Lagos, but I dont know where it was coming from. The driver of the truck carrying an empty container was coming from Sagamu axis but was driving against traffic and that resulted in the collision, which eventually claimed the lives of the innocent people" the eye witness said.

The remains of the victims have been deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, OOUTH, Sagamu.

One of the NY prison escapees shot and killed by law enforcement officers

Richard Matt, one of two New York prison escapees, was shot and killed by law enforcement officers Friday afternoon, a law enforcement source confirmed.

He was killed in a remote area of Franklin County, N.Y. not far from two hunting cabins where he and fellow escapee David Sweat reportedly had taken refuge.

 The other escapee David Sweat is still being pursued by the Police reportedly on foot.

The Buffalo News, quoting a source, reported canine units had a "strong track" on Sweat, 35.

The location where Matt, 49, was shot is about 40 miles west of the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, where the pair staged a brazen breakout June 6.

 Since then they had eluded a massive manhunt involving 1,100 law enforcement personnel.
