Colombian Report's Allegations: U.S. Troops Raped 54 Girls

According to a report commissioned by the Colombian government and teh FARC leftist rebel group, U.S. soldiers and military contractors stationed in Colombia allegedly sexually assaulted as many as 54 Colombian children between 2003 and 2007, The Daily Beast reported April 8. None of the Americans have been prosecuted because of bilateral agreements and diplomatic immunity, the report alleges. The U.S. Army, however, told The Daily Beast that no credible evidence had been found to warrant an investigation but said further inquiry is possible.
